Responsibilities

Overall management and allocation of resources throughout the Practice and for the continuing professional development (CPD) training of all technical and professional staff.

Lead auditor of our BSI-accredited Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS18001.

Supervision of all individual construction projects requiring a specialist building surveying input and problematic sites with difficult access, infrastructure issues or other constraints.

Environmental management including carbon reduction, sustainability, green specification and renewable energy, thermal performance and energy conservation methods.

Experience

Extensive knowledge of design, contract administration, project management and CDM services with particular expertise in construction failure, defects diagnosis, dilapidations and building pathology.

Specialist in undertaking all aspects of building surveying services across a wide range of property types particularly social housing and schools.

Assessor of quality and financial audits of clients’ and contractors’ management systems, procedures, compliance, processes and financial models for planned and responsive maintenance contracts, regeneration schemes and refurbishment contracts.

Detailed expertise of traditional construction and heritage building projects including restoration, extensions, conversions and change of use.
