Stuart May, our Head of Housing Consultancy has overall responsibility for all stock rationalisation & housing consultancy projects.

Advising on asset management strategies, stock rationalisation programme project management and implementation, options and viability appraisals, valuations and stock condition surveys.

Providing housing consultancy services to Registered Providers and private sector investors.


Stuart has worked with the Practice since 2011 and has a breadth of housing experience focused on working with Registered Providers and private sector investors on strategic portfolio management and project managing and facilitating housing stock transfers.

Stuart has been responsible for the transfer of 11,500 properties over 63 transactions between Registered Providers (RPs) with a transaction value of c.£700m million and managed phased disposals for Southern Housing Group, A2Dominion, Hyde Group and Moat Homes.

One of Stuart’s key skills is the ability to communicate effectively ‘internally’ with senior management and Board members as well as with the finance, management and housing teams and ‘externally’ with specialist consultants including solicitors, valuers and financial advisers.
