Utilising our team of qualified health and safety professionals, FFT are able to offer a comprehensive range of health and safety and compliance services. As an APS (Association for Project Safety) accredited practice, we deliver Principal Designer services for construction projects across a wide range of sectors.
We employ nine IMaPS (Incorporated) Members of the APS and two CMaPS (Certified) Members of the APS who undertake the full duties of Principal Designer on New Build, Responsive Repairs, Planned Maintenance and Refurbishment contracts, working under different forms of contract including JCT Design and Build.
Our Principal Designers deliver presentations and training on the roles and responsibilities placed upon duty holders under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and these presentations are successful in ensuring that sufficient time and resources are allocated to projects so that they can be designed and constructed safely, with thought given to the future maintenance and demolition of the asset.
We aim to deliver a whole life Principal Designer service whereby Health and Safety information is fed into our client’s asset management data to be incorporated into their maintenance procedures.
We work with our clients to develop procedures for the maintenance of their assets. This includes regimes for Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveying and removal and Gas and electrical testing. Key to the success of this is how this information is captured and stored and we can work with our clients to acquire software systems which can store this information and notify of expiration dates of certification.
